How to Prepare Check

Preparing check is a tedious one, you need to prepare a bunch of attachments of receipts in chronological order by date, name of supplier, category and the amount as a summary for all the receipts. We have four (4) types of fund that we prepare weekly and here are the following:

1. Petty Cash Fund with a ceiling of P3,000.00
2. Laundry Supply Fund with a ceiling of P3,000.00
3. Direct Labor Fund with a ceiling of P5,000.00
4. LPG Fund with a ceiling of P1,720.00

These are four (4) funds that we prepare each week with a total fund of P12,720.00

Here are the three (3) steps you need to prepare a check

1. Prepare the summary sheet for the Petty Cash, Laundry, Direct Labor and LPG fund which is located at gdrive/mrrush/accounting/forms

2. Prepare Check Voucher Form which is located at gdrive/mrrush/accounting/check voucher and save it as series of control number i.e. (CV01, CV02...)

3. Prepare Cash Position Report which is located at gdrive/accounting/bank/cash position date.
To prepare a Cash Position Report you need to encode to credit side all bank deposits made within the week and to encode the check to be issued on the debit side. Look for the balance after both deposits and issuance of checks with Check Voucher (CV) control numbers.

After you see that there's a balance left print the Check Voucher Forms you prepared for issuance of checks needed for the week. It's the same application when you request for payment for water, light, telephone (3rd week of the month) and rent payments (last week of the month).
